Go where the houses become fewer and the grass begins. It's a path as good as any other. Pure darkness. The grass. Tin color. Iron. Jade black. Moist, sweaty sap green A subliminal noise coming from insects and something else. Behind it, the sound of boundless attention. Rustling, alert silence. The smoke has cleared. What I thought was emptiness was just a longing for this. The center, the unity, can be found nowhere else but everywhere.
